Early start for our S21 and Killing Fields tour, a moving look at Phnom Penh's real history and culture. Back at the hostel, lunch is on us: chicken amok, veggie or vegan amok, pork with grilled aubergine or veggie grilled aubergine, plus mango sticky rice with mung bean and coconut sauce. Later we hop on a sunset cruise with unlimited beer, soft drinks and a seasonal fresh fruit platter. Free evening to wander Phnom Penh.

Free morning to explore Phnom Penh on foot, then head back to Mad Monkey for the BBQ and pool party to finish the day.

Cancellation & refund policy

Minimum Numbers: This trip requires 8 confirmed travelers 6 weeks before departure, by December 10, 2026. If it hasn’t reached them by then, we may cancel the trip; if we do, we refund your deposit in full.
If We Cancel due to minimum numbers not being met your deposit is fully refundable.
If You Cancel After minimum numbers are met, the trip is confirmed and all payments are non-refundable.

Travel insurance: We strongly recommend a policy that includes “Cancel for Any Reason” (CFAR). This is your best protection if you need to pull out due to work, health, or personal reasons.

Do I need to have backpacking experience?
No. This trip is beginner-friendly. All transport, accommodation, and activities are organised for you — you just need to show up ready for adventure.
What kind of luggage should I bring?
We recommend a backpack or medium-sized suitcase (hostels and boats are easier to navigate without oversized luggage).
What if I don’t know anyone?
That’s completely normal — most travellers join solo. You’ll get an invite to the trip’s WhatsApp group before the trip so you can connect with everyone ahead of time.
Is this a party trip?
This is a social, high-energy trip with boat parties and nightlife built in — but it also includes beach days, adventure activities, and downtime. You can participate as much or as little as you like.
